Fightin' Texas Aggie Feral Cats

This feral-yet-lovable fellow is Bisbee. In addition to being a minor celebrity on the A&M campus he’s a subject of the Aggie Feral Cat Alliance of Texas.

AFCAT is a group of students, staff and faculty who volunteer to help care for wild or ‘feral’ cats living on the Texas A&M campus. AFCAT provides feeding stations, treatment of diseases, spaying/neutering for the cats and education for the public on pet ownership and adoption.

Bisbee lives near, and is named for, the Biological Sciences Building East. A sign posted near his usual haunt notes just how far this cat has come in the past few years, especially in the realm of social interaction. On any given day many students will pause to pet Bisbee or to give him a friendly scratch.

Just don’t wake him during his afternoon nap.
